I'm equal parts excited and terrified to share something incredibly close to my heart with you... This week Beautiful Inside by Beauticate launched, and it's a project that's been brewing in my soul for quite some time now. It's more than just a video podcast—it's a journey into the depths of what makes us truly beautiful, inside and out.

Let me take you back a bit. Towards the end of last year, life threw me a few curveballs and I found myself not coping as well as usual. Like really not well. After years of pushing through, I realised I needed more than just a few self-care Sundays. I needed help.

That’s when I made a life-changing decision to check myself into a Treatment Centre for anxiety and depression. Yep…it’s essentially a psychiatric hospital, but one that offers some incredible programs for trauma and mood disorders. It wasn’t an easy choice, but it turned out to be the most transformative experience of my life.

As for the why’s and the how’s (and the WTF’s!?), I go into it all in more detail in this story I wrote for Marie Claire. My dear friend Georgie Abay (who is the editor, and convinced me to write about my time there – coming soon) also interviewed me for the podcast here and here (we had quite a bit to talk about!) Being in the hot seat literally made me sick with nerves for three weeks, but I felt it was important to contextualise how this podcast came to be and why I now feel compelled to advocate so strongly for mental health.

Three weeks immersed in therapy, introspection, and community support opened my eyes in ways I never expected. It wasn’t just about addressing my immediate challenges; it was about confronting deep-seated anxieties, childhood traumas, and the relentless pursuit of perfection that had defined so much of my life.

Coming out on the other side, I felt stronger, more aware, and more committed than ever to sparking more conversations around mental health. That’s where Beautiful Inside comes in.

This podcast is my way of sharing stories—my own and those of incredible guests like Trinny Woodall, Pip Edwards and Poppy King—who have faced their own battles and come out the other side shining.

We’ll dive into topics that matter: from navigating burnout and parenting anxieties to exploring the links between inner peace and outer radiance. It’s about celebrating resilience, embracing imperfections, and finding beauty in authenticity.

This podcast is for all of us who have felt the weight of expectation, struggled with anxiety, or sought a deeper understanding of ourselves. It’s a celebration of resilience, authenticity, and the courage to face our vulnerabilities with grace.

To all of you who have been part of my journey thus far—whether through Beauticate, social media, or simply by being part of this incredible community—thank you. Your support means the world to me, and I hope Beautiful Inside will inspire, empower, and uplift you just as much as it has me.

So, grab your favorite cup of tea (or wine—no judgment here!), and join me on this beautiful journey inward. And, if you enjoy it, it would mean the world to me if you could subscribe and review us on Apple

With all my gratitude and excitement,

Sigourney xx
