WaterRower is the original water-resistance rowing machine, invented in 1988 by John Duke, a Yale engineer and US national rowing candidate. Handcrafted in Rhode Island from sustainably sourced Appalachian hardwood, each rower was designed as much as a piece of furniture as a fitness device, drawing on the quiet elegance of Shaker design.
