Welcome to Beautiful Inside by Beauticate, where we explore the duality of inner and outer beauty. Today's guest embodies that balance like few others, the dynamic Pip Edwards.
Pip is the founder of P.E Nation and a passionate advocate for women's health and wellbeing. Known for her energetic, glamorous presence, she has lately shown a softer, more vulnerable side, and in this episode she lets us all the way in. We talk therapy, perimenopause and the reality of raising her son Justice as a single mum while building a global fashion brand.
From accountancy to a fashion empire
Pip's story does not start where you might expect. Before the activewear empire there was an accountancy degree and a high-achieving childhood that set the bar very high, very early. We trace her meteoric rise, the move from numbers into design, and the moment P.E Nation went from Australian label to international name.
What strikes me most is how much of that drive came from a need to be perfect. Pip is honest about the cost of that, and about how success on the outside does not always quiet the noise on the inside.
Perfectionism, perimenopause and learning to soften
For someone so visible, Pip is remarkably candid about the parts that are hard. She speaks openly about perimenopause and the way it has reshaped her body and her moods, about therapy, and about the slow, ongoing work of swapping perfectionism for self-compassion.
She also shares her experience with egg freezing and the emotional toll of making such a personal decision while so much of her life plays out in public. It is a tender, generous conversation, and a reminder that strength and softness are not opposites.
Pip's grounding rituals
When the pressure builds, Pip comes back to ritual. She is a believer in crystals, chakra balancing sprays and NLP, and she swears by what she calls horizon-gazing, simply stopping to look at the sky or the sea to reset her nervous system. These small, deliberate practices are how she stays steady through a very full life.
Pip's Sacred Six
We always ask our guests for the six things they cannot live without. Here are Pip's.
- Chakra balancing sprays. She reaches for the Aveda Chakra body mists in Manifest Miracles and I Am Amazing, from the Health Emporium in Bondi.
- Music. She keeps her old favourites and uses the Spotify radio function to discover new tracks, all played through her AirPods.
- Her signature scent, Tom Ford Ombre Leather Eau de Parfum.
- A cult do-everything balm, Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant.
- An illuminator, MAC Strobe Cream, for an instant glow.
- Incense and a holder. She loves Gentle Habits in Byron Bay, paired with a Maison Balzac glass pebble incense holder.
Pip's story is one of resilience, self-care and the ongoing quest for balance between outer success and inner peace. Whether it is her approach to mental health, parenting or personal growth, she offers a masterclass in authenticity and strength.
