Model friends Georgia Gibbs and Kate Wasley have had enough of body shaming, and are using the very platform accused of exacerbating the problem (Instagram) to combat it. In 2017 we shouldn't be dealing with commentary on women's bodies and how it's used as a marker for worth, but, here we are. It still happens and our eyes are sore from rolling. So, these body loving friends are doing something about it.
Two days ago, the Insta account @Any.body_co – a collab between the models – posted this:

They have since (at time of publish) posted 17 more images with much the same message, 'We are Any.BODY! Two models and best friends that believe there's no size standard for the modern woman'. Amen.
The images often show the girls in similar outfits (or swimwear, as it goes), to show that there's beauty at every size. And that a bikini body is a body with a bikini on it.
The two girls could be mistaken for the same person if not for one aesthetic difference – the number that appears on the tag of their clothing. Which seems to be the point of the posts.

While the jury is still out on whether or not it's effective to use a focus on the body to detract the social focus on the body, the girls are sure to make some ripples in perceptions and judgements based on women's body size. And for that, we applaud the effort.
